Walking in Memphis no. 10/25
Block Prints printed with soles of my old shoes. With this I am literally and figuratively following my own footsteps.Shoes and footprints are part of someone's identity.
This is why the work has an autobiographical character. The first 2 layers are a woodblock print showing the material print of the shoe soles. The title "Walking in Memphis" refers to the name "Memphis" of the design of these shoes. The series is printed by hand without the use of a printing press in a limited edition of 25 prints signed and numbered. Printed on Japanese paper 30 x 40 cm framed in a wooden frame 40 x 50 cm with passe partout.
